Here are some basic questions that you must ask yourself before engaging in a long business partnership with a certain client:
Since most sites these days tend to evolve into the web 2.0 factor of simplicity a lot of the employers think that if it looks simple, it's rather effortless to make (which in fact is exactly the opposite). The incompetent client isn't open to suggestions and in the process of working he'll want to change your product from looking like "the dog's bollocks" to looking like shite.
In pretty much all cases if he does not follow 1. then he'll try to bargain you for a very low price. At first you might even agree on his terms but later on you'll regret that you accepted the deal in the first place. They want something for nothing, they don't follow trough with the payment on time and want numerous revisions.
This is very important to you, because if his business or organization seems shady or in any other way full of crap, than he's probably full of crap too.
